Many people in this country are in disagreement with our current president George W. Bush. He is the 43rd and current President of the United States of America. The war in Iraq has gone way too far and Bush sends out more and more troops to get killed out there. On the morning of September 11, 2001, terrorists attacked our Nation. Since then, President Bush has taken unprecedented steps to protect our homeland and create a world free from terror. This is greatly appreciated, but his approach to this is a bit too harsh for the soldiers. Bush is an owner of an oil and gas business. President Bush is married to Laura Welch Bush, a former teacher and librarian. He signed a law called the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Because President Bush believes the strength of America lies in the hearts and souls of our citizens, he has supported programs that encourage individuals to help their neighbors in need. At least, thats what they says he's doing. Since then, not much progress has really been made. We are waiting for a change, but its a good thing we didn't hold our breath.

Music equals love
Too much homework anyone?
I don't know about everyone else in this school, but I have been getting way too much homework lately. I don't think all teachers understand that students have other responsibilities besides school work. Some teachers think that a students life is waking up, going to school, going home, and doing homework. Well theres more to life than that. Students have their own social lives to maintain also. If a student cant handle keeping a balance of their social life and school work then that is the parents' responsibility to step in. All the teachers should really have to worry about is making sure that the students understand the material that is being taught to them. If a student doesn't get their homework done then they will suffer the consequence with a bad grade. Giving the student more homework to do would only make the student learn less. However, homework is a good review. Just smaller proportions would be much nicer.
